Activities
Morning and afternoon activities are meant for pupils in pre-schools and the first and second years of comprehensive school. The purpose of the activities is to promote the well-being and health of the children, and to support home and school education. Before and after school days children are offered a safe environment where they, under the supervision of adults, can take part in varied and stimulating activities. In the choice of contents a special emphasis is given to play, creative activities and positive experiences. There are possiblities of social interaction, esthetic enjoyment, stimulating physical activities indoors and outdoors as well as individual activities, recreation and rest. Furthermore other activities that promote development, such as practical skills, lingual and visual expression, music and everyday chores, are stressed. If necessary the time can also be used for homework. The child itself should be able to decide what activities he/she wants to engage in.

The aims of the activities according to legislation:

• to support home and school education and the development of the child’s emotional life and ethics

• to support the welfare and equality of children in society, to prevent elimination and increase participation

• to offer children all-round opportunities of taking part in supervised and recreational activities and to facilitate rest in a  peaceful environment under the supervision of  a qualified person, suitable for the task.

Prices:
For pupils who attend pre-school a fee for morning and afternoon care is invoiced according to child day care fees and its legislation, which means that the fees for morning and afternoon care are calculated according to parents’ income. For pupils in grades 1 and 2 the following fees apply for morning and afternoon care.

1-3 hours/day                              60 € per month
More than 3 hours per day        80 € per month
more than 5 hours per day        100 € per month (only during school holidays if afternoon care is open)
